October Currently!!

Two posts in one week...say whaaaatttt!!!?

Yep it's that time...and I missed last month so I was definitely not going to miss this month!!

 

Here it goes...

Listening----It was The Bucket List--(I love Morgan Freeman!!) but now it's The Terminator or something the hubs turned it to.....I need to switch over to Vampire Diaries...

Loving--- I'm a summer girl...but this time of year always makes me happy. The humidity is almost gone (ugh) and the colors and all the fun stuff that happens this month....fire safety, Halloween, pumpkins, bats, spiders oh my!

Thinking---Thinking about lesson plans. I'll be out of work next week for two days, so I need to do my planning plus plan for a sub....no fun.....but excited to be heading back to Kentucky, where our mission team goes each summer!

Wanting--- I'm wanting to book some fast and fun Jamberry parties this month--so I'm looking for ladies who love to have cute nails and who want to earn free stuff!!! I just ordered these!!! So excited....

Needing---a nap! Before bed. We took the kiddos to the fair today....this teacher is exhausted!! And I need a good book to read---any suggestions??

September Recap--Picture Style

Oh my word----has it been f.o.r.e.v.a.....since I blogged?? Why, yes it has.....do you know why? One word....school....

Goodness...when school started back...it was....on....like crazy....on. On top of that..I think I caught every back to school bug there was that was going around!! That's never happened before!

Soo...I'm going to try to get back on track! Here's a little September recap in pictures....all of the goodness that we've been doing.....ready?? Here it goes...

 We practiced rolling dice and covering the number shown with our pom poms.

Apple Time!!!

Working in pairs to sequence how an apple grows.

We finished up our apple unit by making applesauce!

We also began learning how to track our print by keeping our "eyes" on the words! Oh the little things that make learning fun...

I've also been creating...I have a few things I'm working on now but this one is one of my favorites!! My kiddos were really struggling with color words...so that's how I came up with these!! Love using my interactive notebooks for these!

Hey everyone! My name is Nicki. I'm 33 (just turned! ;), a wife, mom to a fur baby, and a southern gal! This will be my 12th year teaching, with the last 11 years being in Kindergarten! 

I married this guy 9 1/2 years ago!! (He hates his picture taken and we were at an 80s party here! So this is the best smile I can get! LOL) It's just us two with our fur baby for now...but God's got a plan....one day we will have that little miracle. 

Here is our crazy pup. He's 3 now. Still into everything. His name is Raylan (ever seen the TV show Justified....yep my hubs named him after a character on that show!)

I always wanted to be a fashion designer or someone that worked at a zoo. But no snakes please. I wanted to be what Jack Hanna does on tv (with all of the animals and talks about them, etc.) No blood, no snakes, no big words...lol...just be with the animals. Hmm.....teaching....wasn't that far off... ;)

Neither...I fall out at night before 9 (especially during school) and don't try to hold a convo with me in the morning....ugh....
