Five For Friday--Dr. Seuss Style

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her weekly Five For Friday.....just a day late!

This week was a little hectic and rushed for Dr. Seuss week. We went to school on Monday and left at 12:00 because of incoming icy weather. And boy did it turn icy. That night, just freezing rain for an hour or more. That meant no school on Tuesday. But Wednesday, we started...and did as much as possible to celebrate the most famous author's birthday.

We did a directed drawing of the Cat and Things 1 and 2. I didn't get many pictures of their writing afterwards, but it was soooo cute.

We made green eggs and ham. It looks so gross now. And we graphed whether or not we liked them.

Pete joined in on the fun!

And guess what we watched on Friday???!!! (One of my students was saying everysinglelineinthemovie!!!) Wonder how many times he's seen it?

Trying my hardest to get this finished.....labor of love...

  1. The guided drawing looks great. I've never done it before, but I think I need to find out more about it!
